Be wary of woods when you travel alone—
tread lightly and speak with your voice soft and low,
else suffer the haunting of ghosts hardly known,
in wolf shapes with bat wings who groan and who moan,
through twilight and midnight and in between zones,
through darkness and sunlight and in between tones—
be wary of woods when you travel alone.
