CLXXV

November 2, 2013

A lonely lion walked upon
the cracked and barren plain,
he was surrounded by
his pride; and yet, he was alone.

A guilty crow flew on
through cold and vicious winds
with heavy thoughts, though he
had left his murder far behind.

A learned fish must swim
through all the hoops, or else;
for once they leave their school,
they’re on their own forevermore.

A hungry wolf must trust
his ears; for what he heard
may be a group of deer,
and he must pack his lunch with them.
