I crawled to work, and worked, and I crawled back.
What did I do today that ants cannot?

I sat, I ate, I waited for commands.
What did I do today that dogs cannot?

I moved in circles, lived in tedium.
What did I do today that fish cannot?

I guess a fish cannot be like a dog;
and then, a dog cannot be like an ant;
but when, I ask, can I be like a man?

    Real truth in your words. Each day we forget freedom and who we were. Thank you for the excellent poetry.
